Chocolate Dipped Banana Ghosts

Chocolate Dipped Banana Ghosts are a fun and spooky Halloween treat and activity to make with kids!

I have seen pictures of these banana ghosts on Pinterest, but all of the links that I clicked on led nowhere, so I thought I would just create a post of my own about these friendly little spooks.  My three year old son loved making them with me!  Here we go:

Chocolate Dipped Banana Ghosts are a fun and spooky Halloween treat and activity to make with kids!

1.  Gather your supplies.  You will need bananas, white chocolate or white (vanilla) candy coating, miniature chocolate chips, popsicle sticks, and wax paper.

2.  Start by cutting your bananas and sticking a popsicle stick into them.  You may want to try freezing them after this step.  We didn’t bother, but some of the bananas were breaking off of their sticks when we were dipping them in the chocolate in the next step.

3.  Prep your melted chocolate or candy coating.  Dip your bananas into it and lay them onto some wax paper.  Before the chocolate dries put miniature chocolate chips onto your bananas to make the banana ghosts’ eyes and mouth.

4.  Let dry and them chow down on their banana ghosts!  (We stored our extras in the freezer to keep them firm.)

I asked my son to pose for a picture.  As you can see, he was very cooperative.  Good thing my darling nephew was over as well!

Sarah! My kids are going to love you. I always intend to do something leading up to the holidays but always end up doing nothing. You have inspired me, and I already have the bananas, mini choc-chips ,and popsicle sticks… just need some bark. What a cute idea and I love your site!
