Good morning! It’s Sunday, and I know what that means to many people out there (men, at least) during this time of year: FOOTBALL. I’ll admit, I’m not a fan. At ALL. Although it is sort of exciting that my home team, the Denver Broncos, may go to the Super Bowl this year! Who knows….maybe I’ll even watch it. Or not. We will see. 😉 However, while I am not a professional sports fan in any way shape or form, I am a fan of APPETIZERS and tailgating food!!! YUMMMM!!!! YUMMMMMMMM, am I right?!?!?!? Alright, now on to my buffalo chicken dip recipe! This is a recipe that my friend Ann shared with me. It is SUPER simple. I couldn’t believe how quickly it came together! I will walk you through the steps quickly, and then the exact measurements will be below.
Gather your ingredients, including canned (or fresh shredded) chicken, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, and the key ingredient: Frank’s Red Hot Buffalo Wings Sauce. Use cautiously….it is STRONG!
Dump everything into a bowl together after pulling aside some of the cheese for the top.
Stir it up!
Smooth the mixture into a greased casserole dish and top with the rest of the cheddar cheese. It is THAT simple!
Bake it until it’s bubbly and brown on the edges.
Serve it up with crackers or chips! YUMMMMM!
- 2 large cans chicken (or the equivalent of fresh shredded chicken)
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (Reserve some for the top.)
- ½ cup - 1 cup Frank's Buffalo Hot Sauce (I use ½ cup because I'm a wimp.)
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- Set aside some of the cheddar cheese for the top.
- Mix all other ingredients in a bowl thoroughly.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes until the cheese is melted and the mixture is beginning to bubble.
- Serve with crackers or chips. Best served warm.
