Free printables for simple framed Christmas ornaments!Today I am excited to share with you the frame Christmas ornaments that I shared over at Sew Woodsy last week for the 12 Days of Handmade Christmas Ornaments.  They are super simple, and I am sharing with you printables that will allow you to make six different varieties of frame Christmas ornaments.

A friend invited me to a handmade ornament exchange, and at first I considered declining.  I love crafting and I love Christmas, but I do not really love the idea of finding enough time to hand-make TWELVE ornaments.  Ain’t nobody got time for that!  However, I thought a bit prior to answering, and I’m glad that I did because I was able to dream up this incredibly simple way to make handmade ornaments, and they are pretty dang cute, if I do say so myself.  😉

To create these ornaments I used wallet sized frames from the dollar store, ribbon, washi tape, hot glue, and THESE printables.  I am not fab at the printable thing, but I have been trying to learn how to use Photoshop, so I went for it and made these little guys.  They are simple, but I am very pleased with how they turned out.  (And VERY grateful for the free font that I used to create them, Christmas Cheer!)  Below is a preview of the printables.  It is NOT full quality for printing, however, so if you are going to print them then you can download the full image HERE.
Wallet Frame Christmas OrnamentsGather your supplies and let’s get started!
Christmas Ornament Printables-1Start by cutting out your printables and using a bit of tape on the sides or a roll on the back to attach them to the backing so that they don’t slide around.  Then pop them into the frame!
Christmas Ornament Printables-2 Christmas Ornament Printables-3Time to embellish a bit!  Grab some washi tape and wrap it all the way around the frame.  I got my washi tape from all over the place, but I think this polka dot one was in a kit of them in the Target office supply section.
Christmas Ornament Printables-4Once you have wrapped your washi all the way around the outside of your frame you can either cut off the excess or fold it onto the back, as shown below.
Christmas Ornament Printables-5 Christmas Ornament Printables-6Almost done!  Grab your ribbon and hot glue it to the back of the ornament to create the ornament hook.
Christmas Ornament Printables-7All done!  SO EASY, right?!
