CB-sponsored-post-white-600This Minnie Mouse Bowtique Dream Party Celebration is so cute and such a fun idea for moms and girls to enjoy together!

Hello, hello, dear readers!  I feel like I have unintentionally turned into a food blogger lately.  All I share is recipes, recipes, recipes!  And, while I do love food with all of my heart, I also love crafts and other stuff, so I am excited to say that this week I have a wide variety of posts lined up, including a kid craft, a ribbon sculpture, a toy organization solution, and this party, among other posts.  Fun!  Check out the super cute Minnie Mouse Bowtique Dream Party Celebration that Jade and I threw yesterday for a couple of her little friends!  It was the simplest, yet sweetest little Minnie Mouse Party around!

When I was asked to throw a Minnie Mouse Disney Dream Party I was so excited, but I wasn’t sure what event I had which would warrant a party.  I headed to Walmart to check out the selection of Hallmark Party Disney goodies, and while I was checking them out I was struck by the bows.  Bows, bows, bows.  Since my kiddos have been watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse compulsively lately, the bows naturally made me think of Minnie’s Bowtique.  DING DING DING!  Inspiration.  I don’t need an event!  Aunt Laura is in town visiting, Jade is obsessed with Minnie Mouse, and I love crafting and being surrounded by my favorite ladies.  And thus Jade’s Bowtique was born.

Thanks to Walmart, I was able to get everything in one spot—the darling cake, the other food, the Hallmark Party Minnie Mouse party supplies, the basic tablecloths and other supplies to create the setting, and even the ribbons and hot glue guns that I needed to create the Minnie Mouse bows!  If you are interested in seeing more about how I did all of my party shopping in one trip you can check out my Google + Album documenting said shopping trip.  So easy!

I invited Jade’s baby bestie and her older sister, who happens to be Callum’s bestie.  Their fab mama, who happens to be one of my besties—funny how that works, right?—and my little sister Laura who was in town visiting rounded out the party list.  It was a small party, but with our men also eating the food it was just right.  Surrounded by our favorite folks, crafting, and eating yummy food.  Ummm…yeah.  I’d call that a successful celebration!!  Aren’t our little mice cute?  Those ears were at Walmart and super duper cheap.  Let’s take a closer look at the celebration proceedings!  I think the pictures tell the story best, so I’ll turn the time over to them now.  😉

Setting up for this party was a BREEZE compared to the last party I did!  I will admit to you that I have always been a bit of a snob about thinking a party couldn’t be super cute unless everything was handmade.  Ummm….yeah, I was WRONG!  The Hallmark Party supplies were seriously so dang cute!  I also grabbed cheap tablecloths and other supplies to tape up as the backdrop.  I love how it came together, and it came together in a FLASH!  My sister was very skeptical about my vision for this party and ability to execute it in the short time I had allotted for it, but she quickly became a believer!

Let’s take a look at the cute food table.  The pink backdrop is a $1 tablecloth!  I love all the colorful Minnie Mouse plates and products, along with Jade’s toys.  They really pop on the table, don’t you think?  And I think they did an amazing job on that cake!  Only $19!!!

I love how it came together.  Now, during this party the mamas/adults made Minnie Mouse ribbon sculptures (if you want the tutorial on that you will have to come back during Minnie Mouse week), and the little gals colored and used the stickers I found in the Hallmark Party section.  They all had surprisingly long attention spans for it!  And once they were done they played in the yard while the mamas finished.  It was a really fun, sweet afternoon for us all to do together.  As you can see, I set up the art table ahead of time so that everything would be ready and cute when the guests arrived.

I love this feisty little girl.  Do you recognizer her?  She is the model from my Halloween and Fourth of July Firecracker Bows.

Voila!  Our Minnie Mouse ribbon sculptures!  I will be sharing the tutorial for them next week during Minnie Mouse week, so be sure to come back.  If I did it in this post it would be longer than all of my other tutorials combined.  This post is already super long, but I couldn’t narrow down the pictures!  I love them all!  The girly colors make me swoon, along with those sweet baby girls!  Although most of them weren’t exactly excited to model for me, especially my own little gal….haha.

I think this is the sign of a successful celebration, don’t you?!  If you decide to have your own Bowtique Celebration please share pictures with me and with Disney and Hallmark on our social media accounts!  Have a lovely day!

My daughter would go nuts for this party! We love Minnie, too! I like that you had a craft for the moms and something for the younger kids to do.

Those are just slice-and-bake premade sugar cookies from the store! I just got lucky that they were making them back then. I’m not sure if they still do or not. You’d have to check. Good luck! 🙂
