When my little princess turned one year old in April she was the belle of the ball all day long. It was just a perfect excuse for her mama to embrace the princess within and go big with not one princess headband but TWO in one day. Ridiculous, I know. I have problems. Go big or go home, right?! That’s just how I roll.
You may remember the Birthday Princess Crown Tutorial that I shared several months back. That was headpiece number one for the big day.
Today I am sharing with you headband number two, the CRAZY simple feathered princess headband that I made for her. My dad says it looks like there is a sea anemone on her head. I told him to can it. With a grin on my face, of course. 😉
Let’s get started! All you need is a few simple items:
* sequin headband (I got mine at JoAnn Fabrics)
* feather puff with a clip on the back (I got mine at Hobby Lobby. They aren’t the easiest to find. Use a coupon!)
* several rhinestone buttons and rhinestones (I got my rhinestones at a big craft store and the buttons at Fleuriste Supplies.)
* sequined crown padded applique (I got mine at Fleuriste Supplies.)
Start by arranging your rhinestones and buttons on top of your feather puff and hot glue them right on top of it. Be generous with the glue.
Now generously hot glue on your crown. That’s it. Truly! If you feather puff doesn’t have an alligator clip on it then glue one on, but other wise all you have to do it clip it through the headband and you are DONE! DONE! Crazy simple.
Since that was the shortest tutorial ever I will now flood you with pictures of my little princess modeling her feathered princess headband. She is completely and utterly irresistible, is she not?!
I might just eat her she is so delicious. If you make a princess headband for YOUR little diva then be sure to share a picture of it with me on my Facebook page!

I’m so glad I found your blog. I love the tutorials. Plus you explain with detail. You made it look super easy. Your daughter is Beautiful. I can’t wait to make one for my daughter, she’s a little older but would love it. Plus I have younger nieces as well. A great and easy idea they’ll love. My daughter and I love crafts. We usually do one or two a week (crafts). I really only have one item to go buy and I think I’ll also try one with an Owl on it. My daughter loves being a princess or cute little diva. She also really started loving owls at the end of last year. However, I am no longer on Facebook. If I were I would post a picture, but I will post one on Google Plus and also name your blog in the description. I really enjoy your blogs.

She & the headband are absolutely precious. I love those 2 little bottom teeth when she grins. Maybe someday I’ll have a granddaughter I can make one of these for.
