I am pretty obsessed with making accessories for my baby girl, but every once in awhile I dig my way out of my pile of tulle and sequins and make something for my little man as well. That boy is obsessed — and I mean OBSESSED — with cars. It’s crazy. I find them tucked into hiding spots all over our house, and for the life of me I can’t figure out how he can make that “vroom vrooooommmm” sound all day without his mouth getting tired. So, when I spotted these fabric road pieces on Dollar Store Crafts, I immediately thought of my boy. Talk about EASY! You could use any fabric, really, but denim is a great choice because it’s stiff and won’t wrinkle under the driving cars, plus you probably have some worn out jeans in your drawers, and this is a great — and very “green” — way of using those jeans rather than tossing them into the trash! Felt would also work fairly well. But the stiffer the fabric the better, I would think. I look forward to seeing my little rascal building and creating a variety of roads with his fabric road pieces for hours on end! (He has a freakish attention span when it comes to cars. Seriously!)
