The Christmas right and left game is perfect to play with your family this holiday season. It is a great holiday tradition to enjoy every year.

Growing up a favorite holiday tradition was Grampy reading us “Tommy Right,” the Christmas right and left game, each Christmas Eve.  Would you get the candy bar you hoped for?!  Eek!  Christmas is so magic when you’re little.  Sigh.  Happy memories!  Now he reads it to his great-grandchildren.  I adore that sweet old man.

To enjoy the Tommy Right game, start with wrapped candy bars – one for each person present – and The Tommy Right Story.  Now everyone sits in a circle, and they pass the candy bars to the right when the word “Right” is read in the story, and they pass the candy bars to the left when the word “Left” is read in the story.  Much silliness will ensue, especially with little kids, when the Christmas right and left game is played.  Check out that blurry giggle.  Heehee!

Pass, pass, and pass some more until the tale has been told, and then unwrap and enjoy your candy bar treat!  This right and left game is such a fun and simple tradition for the whole family.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I love this meaningful Christ-centered family tradition of the advent wreath!

This is a beautiful and simple tradition that has a more spiritual theme.  It is a lovely way to celebrate the birth of the Savior throughout the month of December.

This fun family tradition is fun and easy to do with the whole family!  It keeps the true meaning of Christmas at the forefront of the mind by encouraging the family to focus on service.
