Sweet Little Girl Bedroom Reveal

Today I want to share with you my little lady’s uber-girly bedroom.  It was a sweet, baby girl nursery, but it is now a “big girl room.”  (Be sure to check out the nursery!  So cute.  So girly!  I’m feeling rather melancholy about the fact that I will never be setting up a nursery with a crib again.  Sigh.)  Luckily, I was able to use a lot of the same items from the nursery for this little girl bedroom, just with a more grown up twist on those items.

Pretty Pink Nursery-Bedroom-2

I just love how this little girl bedroom turned out, and, most importantly, my little diva LOVES it as well!  If you’ve seen the nursery, then you can see that I kept a lot of the same things in place.  Obviously, the pink paint stayed in place, as well as those fabulously fun giant stencil flowers over the bed.  (If you would like to see just how I painted on those stenciled flowers, as well as get a link to the stencil supplier, then be sure to head over to THIS post, which has a DIY tutorial and all of the info mentioned above.)  I also kept the curtains in place.  We obviously held on to the cuddle fabric chevron quilt that my mother-in-law helped me to make.  (A closer look at that in a moment.)  The chalk-painted dresser stayed, as well as the small rocking chair and many other decor details.  It was great to have a room decor project where I got to redo the room without having to start from scratch and redo EVERYTHING.  That nursery took me forever to create, so this was a relief!  Now let’s see some more pictures, shall we?

The bed corner of the room is my favorite part.  I love snuggling into that bed underneath that soft, cuddly quilt with my little girl at night to read a story and sing her a song before bed.  STOP GROWING UP, LITTLE GIRL!!

Just across the room is the corner containing the toy kitchen that she likes to use to “set up restaurants” for us to come to for dinner.  I also turned her closet into a secret little clubhouse-like girly place.  She lives for dress-ups and all other things girly, so her dress-ups are in a giant bin in there, as well as her dance class outfits, dolls and stuffed animals, and a Minnie Mouse vanity in the corner.  I find her in there all the time.  So dang cute.

The last side of the room is made up of her chalk-painted dresser, frames of cute pics, and washi-tape enhanced letters that I had put together for her nursery.  (The little rocking chair and baskets of books are over there as well, but somehow they didn’t end up in the pics.)  Hooray for being able to reuse things!

Isn’t the room fun?  It may just be the most ridiculous girly little girl bedroom ever!  Thanks for letting me share it with you!

I LOVE this girly pink bedroom! SO many good ideas!

    Hi Sarah,
This is such a sweet bedroom! I remember when we moved into a new house when my daughter was about 5 and she requested bubblegum pink for her room. I’m sure you daughter will enjoy this room for many years to come. Thanks for sharing at Snickerdoodle! Pinned
