I am SOOO excited to share today’s Sunday Spotlight with you!! I am sure that most of you are already familar with Jen from Tatertots & Jello, because she is a mega-blogging-superstar-extraordinaire, but I am sharing my love for her and her blog all the same. I love Jen. Hers was one of the very few creative blogs that was on my radar before I began blogging myself. She is just so astonishingly talented!! Not to mention so, SO nice!
Jen is a kindred spirit. She is much, much sweeter and more tenderhearted than I am, but I feel like we are good friends even though I don’t truly know her that well. Thanks to FB messaging and a couple of brief conversations at SNAP I fell in love with her. She’s my buddy, even if she doesn’t realize it. LOL. She is so kind and so generous. I can’t say enough good things about her. She is a talented, creative, strong woman, and her blog and sweet spirit always rock my world!
If you want to read more about Jen and her beautiful family then read her About Me page.
Enough gushing about the fab woman that Jen is, now let’s get on to her TALENT! Let’s start with the fact that she is a ROCKING DIY-er. For those of you who may not know, that is blog-talk for home renovator and/or handy-woman. I am truly amazed by the projects that she takes on! One of my very favorite things that Jen has been doing on her blog is renovating a 1905 Cottage. She bought a darling cottage built in 1905 and she is restoring it to its original architectural beauty, but with a fresh and modern look! I love seeing the pictures of the renovation. There’s nothing quite like a great before and after, don’t you agree? And I am obsessed with old houses and the charm and secrets that they hold, so I have been reading her posts about the process eagerly. The most impressive part? When I say that she is renovating it I mean that SHE IS RENOVATING IT!! She has hired professionals to help her with things like plumbing and keeping everthing to code, of course, but she is getting in there and getting dirty. I am so not handy like that, so this just impresses me to no end! Check out her journey, beginning with the introduction post HERE.
Amazing, right?! Bathroom reno post can be found HERE. Go browse them all—you won’t be sorry!
As you can tell, Jen is not only handy and a true blue do-it-yourself handywoman, but she is an extremely talented decorator. She is so skilled with color and has such a great eye for detail! I love how her spaces feel bright and bold and luxurious, and yet completely welcoming and liveable. Recently Jen was one of four blogging superstars who was asked to participate in a JoAnn Fabrics & HGTV 30 Day Design Challenge. She did her master bedroom, and I am OBSESSED! That herringbone accent wall! That chandelier! That planked accent wall! That study nook! LOVE!!!! (Wanna come do mine, Jen???) 😉 See the entire reveal post HERE.
One of my favorite decorating DIY things that Jen does is her phenomenal chandeliers. I think of her as the chandelier queen. The chandelier queen and the holiday wreath queen. But we will get to that in a moment….
Jen has many tutorials for DIY chandelers on her blog, but I have chosen three to showcase here to show you her range and skill level. That beaded chandelier rocks my world, the hot pink one could not be more perfect for a tween’s room, and the orb one quite simply blows me away!

Now on to the category in which she is also crowned Queen in my mind: holiday wreaths. They are always so fun and whimsical and vibrant. And you know how I love color and vibrance!! Here are just a few to give you a taste.
Easter Washi Tape Wreath, Striped Paper Straw Christmas Wreath, Valentine’s Day Heart Chevron Sparkle Wreath, Happy Halloween Wreath
Speaking of holidays, that is the reason that I decided to showcase my girl Jen this month in particular: I think of her as one of the only people that I know who love fall and Halloween as much as I do!! She is the MASTER of all things fall! (Clearly, I think highly of this woman….hopefully I am not coming across as a stalker.) 😉 Here are a few of her loveliest fall projects from her home. I just love the colors and the whimsical touches.

And now for her HALLOWEEN stuff!! EEEEEK!!!! I want to copy it ALL. Seriously. This week I am on a mission to see if I can easily turn my plate wall into a Halloween plate wall. And that family haunted photo shoot?!?!?! AMAZING!!

Doesn’t she just rock? I hope that you are inspired by her projects as I am and that you will go poke around her blog. You will NOT be sorry!! Be sure to check out all of my other Sunday Spotlights as well! I love the women of the blogosphere!
