Good morning, my friends! I am excited about today’s post, because it marks the return of Sunday Spotlights. For those of you who are new here, last year I attended a blogging conference called SNAP and it changed my life. At that conference I was so impressed with all of the warm, wonderful women that I met, and I decided that since one of the my favorite things about the blogosphere are the women BEHIND the blogs that I would start introducing them to you. And thus my Sunday Spotlights series was born. I did quite a few of them last spring/summer, but then I got busy in the fall and the series dropped off. Starting today I am making a new resolve to restart that series and to introduce you to some of my favorite bloggers at least two Sundays a month. Today’s spotlight is on the fabulously fun and spunky Kellie from the blog and shop Nest of Posies.
Kellie is a Southern mama with big hair and a big personality to match. I love her spunky attitude, her fearless talent and decor style, and her fabulous Southern drawl. She is the QUEEN of wreaths, makes amazing food, and has absolutely impeccable taste. I know that you are going to be just as smitten by her style and what she has to offer as I am! Now let’s dive in to her blog, shall we? Let’s start with my favorite feature on Kellie’s blogs: her wreaths.
This is probably my all-time favorite project of Kellie’s: Cupid’s Arrow Wreath. It is, quite simply, perfection.
Check out this pom pom and posies wreath. SOOO CUTE!!! Seriously. Dying.
I am loving this whimsical new Spring Wreath from Kellie.
This emerald and gold wreath is perfection, is it not? Seriously. PERFECTION. I love it so much it hurts. So so pretty. And don’t you love the black accent wall? That is actually her home — not a backdrop!! I love how bold and fearless she is when decorating. You can see her Eclectic Gallery Wall below. AH-MAZE-ING, right?!
Now let’s turn to the tasty side of things, shall we?
Doesn’t this Neopolitan grilled waffle sandwich look mouth watering-ly good? Seriously. MOUTH. WATERING.
What do you get when you combine Reese’s PB cups and biscuit dough? Reese’s Stuffed Monkey Bread! YUMMMMMM. I could eat the whole pan in a single sitting. Seriously.
Kellie calls her Lemon Raspberry Cake “bikini cake.” Gotta love something that’s deceptively diet friendly and delish at the same time!
Time to turn things savory. This chili and cornbread in a jar post looks divine, and perfect for a party!
This Mexican Bubble Bread is on the top of my to-make list. It is made with biscuit dough and looks very simple to do. I can’t wait to try it!
This coconut water recipe looks perfect for a shower or party, don’t you think? I’ll definitely be trying it soon. Mmmm…..I love coconut!
Now I want to peek at Kellie’s crafty side. I love these sock cozies that she created for hot drinks, and her DIY Chunky Color Chain Bracelets are so amazing that you may just spot them around a nearby JoAnn Fabrics and Craft Store display sign. Seriously. They’re featured!!
Last, but not least, Kellie always does a great job with her printables. Below you will see two sets that are perfect for this Spring / Easter season. A spring set to accompany her darling Spring Tablescape, and her Easter Chalkboard Printables.
What do you think? Are you as smitten by Kellie’s style as I am? Nest of Posies is one of the few blogs of which I was aware before I became a blogger myself. She is a truly rare talent, and she is a truly rare and lovely individual as well, both inside and out. You can follow along with Kellie on Facebook, Twitter, or Pinterest, but if you really want to get to know Kellie then you need to join her on Instagram. That lady loooooves Instagram. Follow along. You won’t be sorry!
Have a lovely spring Sunday!
