Today for Spooky Saturdays we are taking a look at a spooky fun Halloween dinner that I did last year with the family of one of my besties, because both friends and kids make everything more fun, dontcha think?!
Let’s take a look at all of the fun foods I made to fit the theme, shall we? They are not all culinary OR visual masterpieces, but they fit the Halloween theme and they were edible, so they were good enough!
Lots of food and a cauldron of root beer and dry ice making it steam.
Pizzas turned into mummies: success! 🙂 The kids drew the faces on the “jack-o-lantern” cuties AND they made the apple/peanut butter/marshmallow “monster mouths.”
Next we had more festive but edible offerings . . .
First up, the “candy corn” fruit cups . . .
Pineapple, mandarin oranges, and whipped cream . . . the kids had a ball assembling those, too.
How about bone-shaped bread sticks? You can make the dough or just use a pre-made tube from the refrigerated section of the grocery store. Pair it with some spaghetti-type sauce, a.k.a. “blood,” and you’re good to go!
Grab some hot dogs and pre-made dough and you will be on your way to having hot dog mummies. Add mustard eyes after they are cooked and you are good to go!
Don’t forget to finish off your meal with a Jack Skellington Cake. It’s much simpler to make than it looks!
Add a few Halloween decor items and watch your kiddos have a ball!
Having fun, ladies? 🙂
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
