This My Little Pony birthday party could not be cuter! The little girls have a ball making friendship bracelets, getting “cutie marks,” pony racing and more!
I am so excited to share with you my little girl’s My Little Pony Birthday Party! She’s a delightful little six year old with a love for the My Little Pony characters and all things girly, so this party was a perfect fit for her. I hope that it will inspire you to throw your own My Little Pony Birthday Party!
Here is the girly pony table. I got the dangling decorations, the banner, and the pinata at Walmart. I got the goodie bags, crowns, and tablecloth at Party City.
When the little girlies first arrived they were sent to the table for the “Pony Coloring Station.” I printed out all of the coloring pages and dot-to-dot pages on Hasbro.com. I got the crayons at the dollar store. That place is a marvel. I digress . . . back to the PAR-TAY!
While some girlies colored, others were brought over to the Friendship Bracelet making station! After all, the My Little Pony franchise is allllll about friendship! 🙂 We took a piece of beading elastic (at any large craft store), stretched it a bit, taped one side to the counter, let the girls bead any way that they liked, and then a grownup tied a knot in the elastic. (I had these beads in my stash, but similar ones can be found at any large craft store.) We did have a few instances of me dropping them while I was tying off the knots – WHOOPS – but overall it went smoothly.
Another station that we had was the “Cute Mark Tattoo” station. (I found the temporary tattoos at Party City.) Daddy took the lead on that station while Mommy supervised the bracelet making.
Once the girls finished these stations we all played Pin the Tail on Rainbow Dash. HUGE hit! Lots of giggles. 🙂 I found that free printable HERE.
Time for my favorite part of the day . . . PONY RACES!!! Let’s take a minute and admire the pool noodle ponies that I spent forever making, shall we? Humor me. 😉 I got the tutorial/idea HERE and the printout of the pony eyes HERE.
Each girl got a pony of her own to race with, AND to take home. This was in place of a goodie bag. I like to do one big thing instead of a bunch of little trinkets that will just end up in the trash. They had a ball running around the yard on their ponies.
Next up: the pinata! It was one of those pull-the-string pinatas, but the girls still liked it. They each got to fill a little goodie bag full of candy to snack on during the next activity.
The next activity has NOTHING to do with My Little Pony, but it was so dang adorable! The birthday girl requested that her 9 year old brother do a magic show for her friends. The girls were very impressed with his impressive magic skills. 😉 It was SO CUTE!
Last, but not least, the cake. I found the cake topper HERE. I found the water bottle wrappers HERE.
Now, as you can tell, I am NOT a cake decorator. It’s just not my talent. HOWEVER, I *did* do something fun. I made a “pinata cake” for the party! HERE is a good tutorial if you would like to make one as well. The little girls freaked when they saw the Skittles come pouring out!
And that’s a wrap, folks! I hope that you are inspired to throw your own Pony-rific party!
