Lengthen a Dress With Chiffon

Have you ever browsed the fabulous blog Clothed Much?

I LOVE the whole modest clothing trend in the fashion blogosphere. While a lot of people who write these blogs are driven by their faith  (props to them- I love that women are showing modest is the new sexy in our oversexed culture and sticking by their morals while being completely fashionable and on trend), I am personally am driven by the quest to flatter my fat- and letting it all hang out just plain isn’t attractive on me. Plus, I shudder at the thought of chasing around two kids in a short skirt. Might have been great in my 20’s, but not. gonna. happen. anymore- unless I want to hear “I see London, I see France” playing constantly in my head!

So if you’re a tall curvy one, like myself- or you have other reasons you’d like to lengthen your dresses, this tutorial is for you. I personally would never wear a slip (I used to be in the super-short skirt crowd when my legs were pin-up worthy, and I just never wore slips so now I find them uncomfortable and weird), but I have a few dresses I’d love to lengthen.

This method is really easy and has beautiful results!

See how Kristina did it here.
