Craftaholics Anonymous Gift Exchange

Did you know that Linda, the fabulously talented lady behind the fun blog Craftaholics Anonymous (clever name, right?!) hosts handmade gift exchanges twice a year?  She does.  There is one in November and then again in the summer (I think).  If you would like to be a part of it then you can head to her blog to sign up for an email notification when the next sign up begins.  I encourage you to do so!  There were 485 people who participated in this one!  WOW, right?!

This is the first time that I have participated, but I am so glad that I did.  I love the gifts that I got, the gift that I sent was very well received, and it was just plain fun!  Who doesn’t love getting a surprise gift in the mail?!

I was paired up with a lovely woman named Sandy in Virginia, and she went a little bit nuts spoiling me.  I am one lucky gal!  I got TWO matching hat/scarf sets (one was actually a headband and a scarf) plus some darling snowman Christmas decorations.  Cutest!

I am so glad that I got Sandy’s gift before I sent mine, because my idea for her would have been completely and utterly inadequate.  After receiving her overwhelming generous package I decided to pull out all of the stops and make her a matching necklace and earring set that would fall in the “luxury” category of my Etsy shop, Bombshell Bling Jewelry.  She was incredibly excited to receive it and is apparently wearing it to a Christmas party this weekend.  Fun!

Jealous?  Go sign up for the emails so that YOU can be involved in the fun next time around!  (And, no, you do NOT need to be a blogger to participate!)
