Beat the Winter Blues Giveaway Series on Craft Quickies 2

Anyone who knows me well knows that I am a woman of passionate obsessions.  I get on kicks and go overboard from the get-go.  For instance, making one little peasant dress for my little gal and then making two more in the same week from the same pattern.  Or going to one jewelry class and buying hundreds of dollars of supplies the next week.  Yeah, well, at least that one worked out well in the end.  Luckily my husband has a mother who gets super into crafts and hobbies (i.e. the bins and bins of fabric all over their home waiting to be made into fab quilts) so he has been conditioned throughout his life to support the hobbies and kicks of the women in his life.  Many of my friends’ husbands would throw a fit if their wives just went nuts on new hobbies like I do, but Logan’s dad never did, so I am good to go. Thanks, Reed and Paulette!  🙂  On to my latest fixation: CHOFFY.

Choffy is one of my newest obsessions.  In fact, only two days after sampling it I decided that I should start selling it, both to support my obsession and to spread the love.  You may wonder: What is Choffy? Two words: BREWED. CHOCOLATE.  Yum.  Choffy is made from 100% premium cacao.  It is brewed like coffee, in a French Press, but it is 100% coffee free, and it has no more caffeine in it then chocolate ever does.  Choffy is dairy free, super low in calories, and FULL of antioxidants, so it is a great way to indulge in your sweet tooth a touch without having to feel guilty, and the Theobromine gives you a natural, gentle lift without the energy crash that often comes after caffeine consumption.  It is completely safe for pregnancy and breastfeeding, and a great alternative for the women who have a hard time giving up their daily coffee during those times. Since Choffy is brewed with 100% cacao, many people find the pure taste a bit too dark and bitter, so I usually add sugar to my Choffy, as well as a splash of french vanilla creamer.

I am thrilled that I discovered Choffy through a FB friend.  We traded jewelry for Choffy at Christmas, and I’m so glad that we did!  I am allergic to milk, but I didn’t get tested and diagnosed with that allergy until COLLEGE, so by that time the dairy-free ship had pretty much sailed in my life.  Too addicted to cheese and ice cream.  FAR too addicted.  I try to be mindful of my dairy intake, but I always struggle during the winter because I ADORE hot chocolate (especially peppermint!), even though it makes me feel rotten.  So I ration it out at Christmas time but end up getting more headaches.  It’s a sad, vicious cycle.  Enter Choffy.  Now I can use non-dairy creamer and have my chocolate drink fix without any negative side effects!  In fact, the side effects that I have been getting have been quite positive.  Namely: it makes me eat less junk.  I mean, WAY less junk.  I get my chocolate fix in an antioxidant-rich cup of Choffy and end up craving sweets less.  Ahhh, Choffy, I love you!

Curious?  Want to try some?  For a small fee I can send you a single-serving sample if you email me at bombshellbling@gmail.com, or you can just take the plunge and order some from my branch of the Choffy website.  (The sample kits come with a disposable cup that serves as a one-time French Press for those of you who don’t own one.)

OR, best of all, you could WIN some!  This week we will have TWO winners who will be beating their winter blues with a warm, chocolatey mug of joy.  The grand prize winner will receive a full sized 12 ounce bag of the fabulous new IC Dark Choffy, as well as a 4 ounce bag of the traditional Ivory Coast Choffy.  The runner up will receive a variety pack of 4 ounces bags, which includes a 4 ounce bag of three different Choffy flavors: Ivory Coast, IC Dark, and La Espanola.  Use the Rafflecopter widget below to enter to win.

You can check out the Choffy website for more information on the nutritional details of Choffy.  Choffy was featured last week on the TODAY show!  Woohoo!

Wouldn’t Choffy make a great Valentine’s Day gift from your sweetheart instead of a standard box of fatty chocolates, only half of which have delicious centers?!  Mmmm…….

I like that you don’t get the crash and jitters from choffy. I am not real crazy about coffee because not only does it give me the crash a nd jitters, I have to add too much “bad”stuff to make it taste good, that it’s not with it. Sounds, like choffy tastes good witha bare minimum. Yum!

I love chocolate in any way shape or form. I’d love to try this considering it only has 20 calories per serving, unlike hot chocolate!

Frankly the whole idea is a little intriguing…and different. I have hot chocolate every morning, but with milk. Sounds like this is very different.

I love coffee, but the IC Dark Choffy sounds amazing. I like that it’s best brewed in small batches, and that I don’t have to brew a whole bunch and waste the remainder of it if I can’t drink it all.
