I just love tiny baby hands. LOVE. Nothing makes me swoon quite as much as my little ones’ tiny little handprints. And that is why I wanted to preserve them for posterity this year by making some cute turkey handprint keepsake art. It was a super fun Family Home Evening (family night!) activity. I grabbed the canvases and darling teeny tiny easels at JoAnn Fabric and Craft Stores last week when I was browsing around. Maybe you should make some of your own! Ready for the simplest tutorial of all time? Alrighty then, here we go!
Prep your paint and paint brushes. Attempt to convince your child to flatten out his or her hand and hold still. PAINT AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN. If you are slow and meticulous with this process then not only will the paint start to dry and prevent you from getting a solid handprint, but your child will also be more likely to ball up their hand or touch something.
As you can see, we couldn’t get the baby to hold her hand flat, so we just shoved a paintbrush into her little hand and wiggled it around. Then I went back and painted the colors over the top of her little brown fingerprints. Once the canvases are dry add the final touches on your turkeys and set them up for all to ooh and goo over.

I just saw this cute craft on Pinterest!! I just posted a handprint turkey craft I did with my boys. I was having the same problem with my one year old clenching his hands the entire time. But handprint crafts are my favorite and totally worth it!! Great job!
