Today’s Sunday Spotlight is on Katie from Sweet Rose Studio. Katie is one of my favorite bloggers because I feel like in many ways she has a traditional creative blog that shows you a little bit of everything . . . . but with a unique feel and twist. She isn’t your average blogger, and she has some unique things to offer. She also happens to be completely delightful and incredibly kind. I’m lucky to count her among my friends! You can read all about her HERE.
Let’s start with one of my favorite features on Katie’s blog: her focus on Project Life. Do you know what Project Life is? It’s a super simple scrapbooking system that is taking the scrapbooking world by storm. Katie makes getting started on Project Life simple with her Project Life for Beginners series. She covers getting started, all you wanted to know about pictures (sizes to print, cropping, etc), embellishing the pages, putting together layouts, the different kits and features, and more! It’s a great series!
Katie also offers her own Project Life Freebies. They are free printables for you to print, cut, and slide into your Project Life albums. Score!
Speaking of free printables, Katie is one of my favorite bloggers to turn to for printables. I love her designs. They are always somehow exactly what I am looking for at that moment. Here are just a few examples.
I adore this quote by Coco Chanel, and I love the simple presentation and how many colors she has made available.
Happy birthday printables pack — love the colors.
This lovely printable is actually a hand drawing from Katie, and there is meaning behind it as well. If you want the story you’ll have to check out the post HERE.
Because Katie does so many marvelous printables, she is a total font junkie. She has load of posts on where to get awesome free fonts. Here is just one of many examples.
Katie also excels at what you would expect from creative bloggers: food and crafts. Her crafts are awesome, and she particularly rocks at pallet art and sewing. See her crafts HERE. I love this Merida Inspired Arrow Pouch that she made her sassy little girl (who is the cutest, by the way).
Sweet Rose Studio is also a great place to look for recipes. See all of Katie’s recipes HERE. I am loving the look of this Breakfast Scramble that she shared last month. Mmmmm…..
Last, but certainly not least, Katie is a great mom. I love following her on Instagram and seeing what her family has been up to, especially “SassyPants,” her daughter. Katie does super fun summer learning activities with her kiddos, and she shares them in the Learning section of her blog, HERE. You will find things from storybook based art projects to handwriting practice sheet printables.
I hope you take the time to check out Katie’s blog. She is such an uplifting person, and I love what she offers to the world on her blog. I am blessed to have crossed paths with such an awesome woman! You can also follow along with Katie on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest.
