As some of you may know, I recently attending the SNAP Creative Blogging Conference. I was a bit nervous to go, but I ended up having a profoundly wonderful experience, which you can read about here or here. The main thing that I learned at SNAP is just how wonderful all of the talented women are in this little blogging world of mine. I have been amazed by their kindness and generosity both prior to and since SNAP, and I am honored to be able to consider myself one of them.
I have decided that, since my favorite thing about blogging is all of the new friends and kindred spirits that I have found, I am going to be starting a series called Sunday Spotlights. I will strive to introduce you to a new wonderful blogger and her (or his!) blog each week so that you will have the chance to enjoy their creativity and their sharing as well. I am sure that I will miss some Sundays, because it takes a lot longer to put together spotlights like this than one might think, and I do lead a rather scattered life, but that is my goal.
So who else to start with than the one and only Courtney, the talented gal behind Sweet C’s Designs, and my dear friend who dragged me into this blogging life in the first place. In fact, you may not realize that Craft Quickies was originally her blog. It’s true! She and her mom started it and recruited me as a contributor. Then when they both got busy and diverted their attention elsewhere I swooped in and commandeered it for myself! Bwahahaha. No, actually, they were super cool and generous and gracious about it. Nothing sinister.
I am so blessed to have Courtney in my life!
Now let’s take a look at her fabulous site, Sweet C’s Designs! She can do just about everything. Seriously. It’s almost nauseating.
This is Courtney. She is as lovely as she is talented! Read all about her here.
Here are a couple of Courtney’s best DIY Projects:
Ugly Dresser & Hutch Turned Chic Bar and Convert a Sewing Table to a Cooler and Drink Table
Here are a few of Courtney’s best crafty projects:
5 Minute Infinity Scarf, Reusable Moustache Glitter Stickers (moustaches always make me smile because they remind me of Courtney since she was amused by them long before they were trendy), and her amazing Cozy Coupe Batmobile Refashion
Courtney is also a fabulous cook! Here are a few of her recipes:
Grilled Lamb Chops (she is Greek Orthodox, so you know she knows how to make lamb), The Easiest Way to Frost a Cake (which I used on my Viking Helmet cake and it worked like a dream), and The Easiest Sangria (virgin or non-virgin)
Although she claims that she is not “into” Halloween she still made three pumpkin-related tutorials that blew me, the Halloween freak, out of the water:
Color Dipped Pumpkins, Pumpkin Bread Mini Pumpkins, and Easy Pumpkin Bling
As you can tell, Courtney is a phenomenal photographer, and she has some fabulous photography tutorials on her blog from her Love Your Camera series. Be sure to check them out, as well as her beautiful Printables. I told you, she can do it all!
I just love this girl. I know you will too!
