This simple spooky frame DIY is perfect for your Halloween decor. Spray paint and cobwebs can transform the frame in less than an hour!
This simple spooky frame DIY is one of the easiest projects that I have ever done, yet it is also one of my favorites! I got this ADORABLE print from Ink Puddles by Karin and decided that I needed to make a fabulously spooky, yet simple frame. It took less than an hour to come together, and I love seeing it on my wall each day! Let’s take a look at how I made it.
*FYI: I received the fab Halloween family drawing as a gift from Karin, and the wooden frame link is an affiliate link, which means I get credit for referring you if you decide to buy it, but it doesn’t make it any pricier to you.
I knew that I wanted an antique looking frame, but I couldn’t find one that I liked, so I bought an unfinished one on Amazon. Here is what you will need for this project:
- Halloween Family Portrait (or other photo or printable)
- Wooden Frame
- Black (or Oil Rubbed Bronze) Rust-Oleum Spray Paint (or any other brand)
- Spider Webs (The cheap decor kind.)
Grab your wooden frame and spray paint it dark. Allow to dry.
Take the spider webs and stretch them across one side/corner of the frame. VOILA! Done!
I just love it, don’t you?! And check out the other print I got from Ink Puddles by Karin as well. It’s a store bought frame (Hobby Lobby), but it’s too cute not to share!
I hope that you make your own spooky frame using this simple DIY! Happy Halloween!
