Good morning! Today I am at the SNAP Blogging Conference learning, networking, having a ball, and……TEACHING! That’s right! Today I am teaching jewelry making at the SNAP Conference, so I thought I’d share a super simple jewelry tutorial here as well for those of you who aren’t at the conference. Read on to find out how I made these golden crystal teardrop earrings. You can use this same tutorial to make any type of simple, single-bead earrings.
Start with two beads (I used golden Chinese Crystals), two earring hooks, two eyepins, and a few basic jewelry making tools: miniature round nosed pliers, flat nosed pliers, and a pair of wire snips.
Thread the eyepin through your crystal/bead. Use the round nosed pliers to bend the eyepin to the side, as shown above.
Next you will twist the eyepin back over the round nosed pliers until it loops around, as shown above. While you are holding the pliers as shown above, grab the flat nosed pliers and use them to grab the eyepin’s wire end and twist it a couple of times around the eyepin so that it is secured, as shown below.
Use the wire snips to clip off the excess eyepin wire, as shown below.
Use your flatnosed pliers to gently open the earring hook a bit and thread the loop of your eyepin into the space, as shown below.
Use your flatnosed pliers to close the loop once more.
All done! You can use this technique with any bead, so this tutorial is endlessly customizable!

I do! My Etsy shop is on vacay right now, but if you want to look I could take it off vacay for a few days, or I can always do custom designs. Let me know! 🙂 bombshellbling@gmail.com
