It’s summer, and around here summer is all about having fun and being lazy! One of our family’s very favorite lazy recipes is German Pancakes. Ever since my husband and I were newlyweds this has been a go-to recipe for lazy mornings at home or nights when we have nothing to cook and hardly any groceries in the house. Our kids LOVE this meal. The other day we pulled into a McDonald’s drive through (claaaaaaassy) and my son cried out, “Order me German Pancakes!” Ummm….RANDOM!
One of my favorite things about this meal is how easy and fun it is for kiddos to help cook.
Here we go – easy peasy – throw everything EXCEPT the butter into it a bowl and beat it together with a whisk!
Melt the butter and pour it into the bottom of a 9×13 casserole dish. Pour the batter over the melted butter and pop it into the oven.
Now give it some time and see it rise into puffy fabulousness! The kids love that part!
Ta-da! Top with powdered sugar and ENJOY! Full recipe below.
