Summer is a slow time for bloggers. Pageviews slow down, giveaway entries slow down, WE slow down. Maybe it’s the heat. Whatever the reason, at first I was a teeny bit bummed that this craft-off had less entries that most of my others. Ummm…until I started LOOKING at them! DANG, you guys are talented!! It was so dang hard to narrow it down! What would I have done with myself if there were hundreds of entries?! For real. GOOD WORK!!! I am super impressed! You made this a very, VERY difficult decision!
Remember my fabulous judging panel? Here they are one more time:
Sarah from Craft Quickies (That’s me!) – Find her on Pinterest and FB!
Michelle from The Ribbon Retreat – Find her on Pinterest and FB!
Kristin from Yellow Bliss Road – Find her on Pinterest and FB!
Kadie from Seven Alive – Find her on Pinterest and FB!
Brenda from From Me, With Love Designs – Find her on Pinterest and FB!
And do you remember the prize package? Here’s a little refresher:
* Your choice of TWO prints from Brenda Bird’s beautiful Etsy shop, From Me, With Love Designs.
* A $25 shop credit to my jewelry shop, Bombshell Bling Jewelry.
* A $10 Target gift card from Kristin at Yellow Bliss Road.
* A $10 Hobby Lobby Card from Kadie at Seven Alive.
* A $35 shop credit to The Ribbon Retreat from Michelle at The Ribbon Retreat Blog.
Amazing. Well, it is a testament to how incredibly talented ALL of our entrants were that almost NONE of my judge’s votes overlapped. Craziness. So I made my own long list and then saw which ones matched up and narrowed it down from there. It was so dang hard for us to pick the grand prize winner. I wish I had multiple prize packages to give out!! But pick we did. And now, without further ado, I give you our winner:
Independence Day Liberty Board from The Happy Scraps
CONGRATULATIONS to Amy from The Happy Scraps!! We loved your project! I have actually been thinking that my patriotic mantle is missing something, so I may be recreating this in super bright colors! 🙂
Here are the other items that got multiple votes. MANY of the other projects also got single votes as well. Which is why I was Pinning up a storm last night! For real. 🙂 Here are the other patriotic projects that I would like to give a special shout-out to, in no particular order:
Jello Pudding Pops from No. 2 Pencil
Painters Tape Kid Painted Flag Art from White House Black Shutters
Firecracker Centerpiece from That’s What Che Said
Patriotic Craft: Star-Shaped Coasters from Mod Podge Rocks
Cute & Flirty Apron Tutorial from Crazy Little Projects
Glitter Tape Flag from No. 2 Pencil
(We all know how I feel about glitter tape!!!)
Patriotic Paper Straw Craft from 30 Minute Crafts
Patriotic Punch from Sweet C’s Designs
USA Punched “Cans” From Paper from The Scrap Shoppe
Patriotic Wreath from Friday, Is That You?
Washi Flag & Patriotic Display from Girl in the Garage
4th of July Baby Girl Dress from Crazy Little Projects
(Do you recognize that baby? Probably not, but I’m very proud to claim her. This is my baby modeling the dress my cousin made. Go ahead, accuse me of nepotism for including this on the list. And then look at that baby grin and tell me you wouldn’t do the same!) 😉
THANK YOU to all those who entered the contest, as well as to all those who judged it! I am looking forward to more fun like this in the fall!
