S’mores Caramel Apples

Ingredients
  • apples
  • caramel
  • a bit of water, cream, or half and half
  • marshmallow fluff
  • melting chocolate or chocolate chips with a bit of Crisco
  • graham cracker crumbs
Instructions
  1. Begin by washing and drying your apples and sticking a popsicle stick into each apple.
  2. Melt the caramel in a small saucepan. (I use the caramel bits found in the baking aisle.) Thin the caramel out a bit with a could of Tablespoons of water, cream, or half and half. I usually lean toward the decadent side.)
  3. Dip the apples into the caramel. Allow the excess caramel to drip off and then place the apples on wax paper and allow the caramel to cool.
  4. Once the caramel is cooled and a bit hardened, warm the marshmallow fluff up a bit in the microwave so that it is runny enough for dipping. Stir it up and dip the caramels in the warm marshmallow fluff. Place the apples onto wax paper again and allow the marshmallow fluff to sit for several hours until it is no longer sticky.
  5. Melt your chocolate until it is runny. If you are using chocolate chips you may want to thin out the chocolate with a bit of Crisco melted into it. I used dark chocolate chips.
  6. Use a spoon to drizzle the melted chocolate liberally all over your apples.
  7. Immediately sprinkle graham cracker crumbs over the melted chocolate. Allow to cool.
  8. Cut and enjoy!
