This Easter egg kid craft is fun for the kids and a perfect way to keep them busy while Easter dinner cooks on Easter Sunday.
Hey there! Carisa here from Messes to Memories with another fun project for the kids. Spring is in the air and we are learning about all the bright and beautiful things that make us happy!
Since Easter is coming soon, we decided to talk about some of the symbols of Easter with our spring theme, including eggs and why we decorate them. The egg is a symbol of new life.
We decided to pull out the craft supplies and get creative decorating a paper egg! This Easter egg kid craft is a very simple project. All you need is some cardstock, glue and art supplies.
Our supplies included washi tape, twine, glitter, ribbon and pom pom balls. All things that I just had lying around in bins waiting to be used in a creative way!
You can discuss patterns and designs and then let the kids do their thing with the glue and supplies! You can give them as much freedom or instruction as you want.
I made an Easter egg kid craft and then showed the kids so that they had an idea of how to decorate… but then let them have their freedom… which is something that I normally don’t do. I have control issues. Which I hesitate to admit, but I do realize that it’s something that I need to work on as a parent.
The result was actually really cool and the kids loved having the freedom and creativity!
I love the fun designs, the textures and all the different colors. It was such a simple and fun activity. I included the template we used, which makes this project framable as well!
