We recently held a reception for my precious Baby B’s baptism. It was a wonderful pink and girly affair- full of lovely accents and decorations. One of my favorites was this wood letter monogram accented with a simple doily- which took under 10 minutes. So easy and so cute- in no time!
First off, I took a plain wood B from Darice that I found at Jo-Ann Fabrics, and painted with with Martha Stewart’s pearl-finish all surface paint in pink.
After a few minutes of dry time, I took a Wilton doily , and applied mod podge to the back of it. I placed it on the letter and smoothed it to remove any bubbles, and then cut off the rest of the doily, since I only wanted a small part of it on the letter.
Let the mod podge dry for an hour, and you’re done!
How incredibly easy is that?
You could also staple some ribbon to the back to hang it in a bedroom, or paint and decorate the backside to use in a shadowbox or any other display!
I think this would also be a darling cake topper for a birthday party or wedding.
