Welcome to Angela with another amazing tutorial— DIY Bike Art. Let’s see how she made this awesome art for her son’s bedroom!

Sarah has inspired me to finally finish my son’s bedroom. Her son’s Dr. Seuss room was so cool that I knew it was about time that I finished my son’s room. We moved into our home about a year and a half ago. We had the room painted, and I had the bedding that I wanted. That was it. I figured it was about time that I actually hung some things on the walls. The problem was just deciding what to hang up. The room has one big green wall and I knew that wanted some big artwork to make a big statement when you walked into the room, but at the same time I wanted something simple. After not being able to find something that I was willing to pay for, I decided to try and make something. I am glad that I did. I got exactly what I was looking for and for less than $20. And it was super simple to make. If you are interested in making your own you will need:
3 pieces of particle board
2 cans of spray paint
paint pen
paint
paint brush
projector (I borrowed mine from my husband’s work)
2 cans of spray paint
paint pen
paint
paint brush
projector (I borrowed mine from my husband’s work)
I started by spray painting my particle board. It took three coats of paint and two cans of spray paint to be completely covered.
Once the paint was dry, I lined up the boards right next to each other and I projected my image onto the boards. I then traced the outline of the image with a paint pen.
Then I filled in the outline with paint.
All that was left was to hang up the art with command strips. I spaced each board about 1 inch apart from each other. Now my son now has a big piece of artwork all for less than $20, and I am one step closer to finishing decorating his bedroom.
