Good morning, wonderful readers! Happy holiday season!! I am SO PUMPED that it is finally here! Eek!!! This is by far one of my favorite times of year. If it could just be October – December all the time I would be one happy girl! Today I am going to share with you a recipe that I guest posted recently on the incredible blog I Heart Naptime. It is a recipe for Candy Cane Joe-Joe’s Stuffed Cookies, using Candy Cane Joe-Joe’s from Trader Joe’s. If you don’t have a Trader Joe’s near you, you can always use the Oreos Christmas variety cookies. This recipe is a variation of my Halloween Oreos Stuffed Double Chocolate Cookies recipe. My friend brought me a box of these cookies a couple of weeks ago and I immediately knew EXACTLY what I was going to make!
Let’s take a look at how to make these Candy Can Joe-Joe’s Stuffed Cookies. You may be surprised at the simplicity!
Mix up your batter. (Measurements at the bottom of the post.)
Take a slightly heaping Tablespoon of dough and place a Candy Cane Joe-Joe on top of it. Top the Joe-Joe with another heaping Tablespoon of dough.
Use your hands to gently squish the dough balls flat and squeeze the sides closed so that the Joe-Joe is completely hidden.
Place the enormous cookie dough creations onto a greased cookie sheet and top with some crushed candy canes and bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
Allow them to cool most of the way and then grab a cookie and a glass of cold milk and ENJOY!
