*This post is sponsored by Graco. I received the Graco Extend2Fit 3-in-1 Car Seat to review free of charge, and I am being compensated to share about my experience with it in this post. All opinions are my own. I pride myself on being honest in my sponsored posts and reviews, and I truly was extremely impressed with this car seat and how easy it was to use, install, and adjust. Additionally, my daughter truly loved it and thought it was much more comfortable than her old car seat.
This week I got the opportunity to review the awesome new Graco car seat, the Extend2Fit 3-in-1 Car Seat. I am going to tell you some things about it and what my daughter and I thought about it, and then I am going to show you a video and some pics of it in action when we took it on a fun Fall weekend outing. The foothills and mountains in Colorado in the Fall are unbeatably beautiful, and I just LOVE escaping my day-to-day stresses and troubles and going to enjoy them each year. This year I knew my girl was extra safe in her new car seat on our journey! 🙂
Let’s take a look at this car seat before we talk pretty leaves. My daughter’s favorite thing about it was all of the cushions, which made it extra comfy and inviting. MY favorite thing about it was all of the buttons and handles to pull to adjust things in a snap. Want it to lean back – or go from leaning back to straight up? Pull a lever underneath and push it where you want it to be. No biggie. (There is also an easy-to-read level indicator on the seat.) Need to latch it into the car? Push a button like it’s a seat belt and push it right onto the latch hooks in your car. Need the shoulder straps and head rest higher? Pull a lever above the head and pull it right up. So on and so forth . . . EASY PEASY! A HUGE improvement over my kids’ old school car seats where everything was manual belts and hooks and things to loop and pull and thread. Ugh . . . what a pain! This new seat is awesome! It has a removable seat cover too so you can machine wash it. Jackpot.
Now my little lady is going to model for you all three ways that it can be set up and used. Let’s start with rear-facing.
Did you know that the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that children ride rear-facing until they are two years old (or have exceeded the height or weight limits on the rear-facing seats)? My boy was so long that he was very uncomfortable facing backward because his legs were so squished. That is where THIS seat would have come in handy! The Extend2Fit 3-in-1 Car Seat has an AWESOME feature for rear-facing riders: an adjustable feature that can provide FIVE EXTRA INCHES of leg room while rear-facing. Talk about a JACKPOT! That is why it is called “Extend2Fit.” My girl is four years old and doesn’t actually ride rear-facing anymore, but thanks to that feature she could very comfortably model it for this post.
Ok, time for forward facing, which is how she actually rides. She would love to switch to a booster, but I still make her use the harness because she is so petite. Thanks to the level indicator on the bottom, I knew exactly how much to adjust the angle of the car seat and popped it right into place for her. The headrest was a breeze to adjust (It can be adjusted to 10 different heights, by the way!), and I checked to be sure the harness was nice and tight across her chest before we were on our way.
Last, but certainly not least, is the booster position. This one could even have been modeled by my seven year old! It can accommodate kids up to 57 inches and/or 100 pounds! Simple to thread through the car seat base and clip right into the car.
Pretty awesome car set, is it not? I am genuinely impressed by it. The Graco Extend2Fit 3-in-1 Car Seat is available at Babies R Us for $249.99. Related, the Extend2Fit Convertible is available all over for $199.99.
Alright, enough gushing . . . let’s see this thing in action and enjoy some beautiful Colorado Fall leaves!
Aren’t they cuties? I think so, but I miiiiiiiiight be a tiny bit biased. Maybe. 😉 Here are a few pictures of our fun outing. It has nothing to do with the car seat, other than the fact that it got her there safely, but Fall leaves are always a joy to see, so I’m including these pictures anyway.
I hope this post inspires you not only to check out this fantastic new car seat, but also to get out and have fun with your family! Every family can use a break and a good outing or getaway every once in a while!
